HABAYEB: conversations with a SWANA community in Switzerland x Refugee Week 2025

TRNSTN RADIO is proud to be part of Refugee Week On Air, an initiative that brings together community and independent radios from around the world, tracing the sonic legacies of migration, resilience, and cultural exchange.

An attempt to hold the beauty and complexity of what community can mean as a resource, as effort, and as collective care.

This community has been forming across different cities in Switzerland since October 2023, when people came together in response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Moved by grief, outrage, and a deep need for connection and action.

Out of this space, two collective projects emerged: Music for Palestine and Ciné-Résistance, both raising funds for Sanad: a grassroots association based in Cairo providing first aid, medical, and psychological care to Palestinian refugees.
